"Eat your heart out, Picasso! Olives and Plates is a gorgeous place to eat. From the staff, thanks Xolani, to the chefs and everyone else, wow, keep it up guys. My breakfast dish, Ricotta Hotcakes was phenomenal. Not only a piece of art, which was nearly to beautiful to eat, but amazing to taste too. The honeycomb butter and caramelised banana was fantastic. I must admit it was a huge breakfast. The orange juice was fresh and very tasty. Great cappucino. I loved the background music, made the atmosphere perfect."

"I loved the place. Over and above the delicious and fresh meals we had, was the view. I mean! It made realise how beautiful Johannesburg actually is. The service was top notch. Parking is spacious and free."

"Decided to go to dinner at Olives and Paltes at the Verge this friday. As always the food was of high quality and delicious. Their coffee just has so much of depth and flavour, love it. Our waiter Max was attentive and knowledgeable regarding the nenu, always within eyesight checking in at the right momentsif everything is ok, and it was a pretty busy Friday. The lamb shank was tender and falling off the bone while the steak was cooked to perfection. The aglio pasta which we added extra prawns to was light and delicious. As for the dessert....there are just so many options to choose from that the mind boggles trying to make a choice. We eventually went with lemon cake, coconut syrup cake and baklava cheesecake. All were just the perfect ending touch to dinner!"

"The staff is very friendly. It is a very beautiful venue and exceptional service. We have our dinner, and enjoy the sunset. Unfortunately there is no Eggs Benedic, so I order the wrap. Taste is very good. The pasta is absolutely delicious. We enjoy our dinner very much."

"Olives & Plates have done it again. The Verge is a new shopping centre which recently opened. The Olives & Plates is amazing. The shop space is big and open plan and really well laid out. The service is excellent and you can see that the staff have been well trained. The food is very well presented and top quality as well have come to expect from this restaurant. I had the chicken breasts and could not believe that chicken breasts could taste this good! They have different cakes available which all look amazing. The prices are not cheap but you pay for quality and I feel it is good value. I can’t recommend this place enough"

"What a scrumptious breakfast at Olives & Plates at The Verge, Linksfield! As always, we couldn’t resist their fabulous cappuccino, topped with a generous, indulgent dollop of fresh cream. We ordered the mildly spicy chicken livers with a perfectly poached egg and chips on the side and wow, that egg was cooked to absolute perfection! Every bite was full of flavour and so tasty. Was so wanting to order a slice of their chocolate cake, but we were very early for breakfast and the cakes weren't ready yet, however Bakalava or Cheese Cake was available. We always leave Olives & Plates happy and this visit was no exception. Consistently delicious food, a lovely atmosphere and a place we’ll definitely be returning to again and again!"

"Beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. Every plate from the kitchen looked lovely. I wasn't completely happy with the meal I ordered but I'll definitely be back to try out more options on the menu."
